He used to live in concord and worked at the Walnut Creek Marriot where Pablo worked! I asked him if he knew Pablo Sandoval and he said no... but then again I don't think Pablo hangs out with real Mexicans very often.
One of my favorite parts of the place besides the fact I will have to hand wash my clothes (sarcasm) is that they have a really cute pet parrot (no sarcasm). I don't know his name but I spent a few minutes today feeding him sunflower seeds and petting him on the back of the neck. When you pet him he bows his head and closes his eyes.
Tomorrow I have to go to the school for orientation at 9:00 am till... I don't know when. Then, do it again on thursday.
I haven't been waking up so well on my own so I think I will buy an alarm clock before I get dinner and hopefully fall asleep early... although the 3-4 hour nap I had today did not help I'm sure.
The mattress at the new place is cheaper than the one in the hotel but it's more comfortable. I passed out.
*side note* I haven't eaten in 26 hours.
I am talking to my Mom right now about how common english speakers are in Querétaro. Most of the white table cloth restaurants have at least one person that can serve you in English and they seem to take a lot of pride in it. Good for them, they should.
But only one person has insisted I speak to them in English to make things 'easier' and I felt like I was in Europe. On top of that his accent was really strong making him hard to understand in the first place.
Something I pointed out to Mom is that on her side of the family I'm 5th or 6th generation American but of the 1st generation of native english speakers. I actually first pointed it out to Nathaniel, he thought it was a trip.
Right now I'm going to grab some food... and then maybe come back to the cafe so that I can call Billy on Skype.
